its idling hard and dont have much power that i used to have
If you reinstall the old IAC does it run better?
I'm thinking things like the old IAC died while in a position that supports a reasonable idle and the new one is fully open so it it allowing the engine to run lean all the time. Or something.
. . . which leads me to wonder if the plug and/or attached wire is damaged somehow, leading the old IAC to stop working and the new one to never start working.
Take a look at the intake on your truck and see if the mass airflow sensor grommet didn’t fall out the underside of the intake. I’ve had that happen before.
I ultimately put a zip tie around it to make sure it didn’t get bumped and fall out
It’s easy to check and it will make it run like crap instantly if that falls out
