Vacuum Pump cycling

I noticed my Vacuum pump has been cycling a lot. My Truck is a 2011 F250 6.7. The pump has been turning on 1 min after shut off for about 40-60 seconds. I just noticed the other day that the pump cycles while my truck is idling. Is this normal? should I replace my vacuum pump? I haven't been able to hear it while driving, but idle is seems to turn on a couple of times. Anyone have any experience with this?

Are you sure you are hearing the vacuum pump? The vacuum pump is mounted on the front of the engine and mechanically driven.

Oops I think it’s the waste gate solenoid. It’s buzzing during idle

or maybe volume control valve

Do a serach for waste gate solenoid. You should be able to find something about it.
