Loctite or Permatex Thread locker
I've seen so many dang instructional videos from Ford Technicians of F150 and other Ford repair How-to installation instructions that describe the use of thread sealant/locker. First of all it isn't necessary if you use the appropriate torque specs and secondly it makes the simple jobs a real pain. Trying to get the dang fill plug out of my rear differential and the damn thing is obviously been threadlocked in place by that stuff. Hopefully a good PB Blaster soak will be the solution on this. Why do techs use it so dang much?
