I installed a brand new 17* hpop on my obs, now trying to install CNC HPOP lines, anyways I have a question about removing the check valves. I'm assuming they are underneath the 2 fittings on the hpop. Of course it does not come with directions.
any ways when I go to loosen the fitting I'm pointing to it almost feels like its crossthreaded. I dont want to mess anything up. Are these the fittings I need to remove in the picture.
I seriously can't belive he doesn't provide a picture of the threads.
The check valves are under/ inside the fitting. You need to pull the fitting to remove the valve. No sure why you’re having issues removing it, mine installed fairly easily but your fittings look slightly different than mine. do you have stock intake plenums or are you going aftermarket? I assume you want the valves out so there’s no need to use a oil rail crossover line?

I do think the fittings are different between the OBS and SD. But to confirm I need to remove both of those fittings to access the spring checks? There is a note on the CNC page that says the spring checks need to be removed. Otherwise I would not be messing with them.

Them aint standard fittings. Dont think the cv's are in.
The OBS pumps do not have the quick disconnects fittings. It's a brand new OEM Bosch pump unless if possibly they change the design I do not see why the check valves would not be in there.

doesnt answer my question,
Ford Engineers but them there for a reason, most people have no idea what they are for and honestly most people have no idea why they would want them removed other then monkey see money do.
so I will ask again, What do YOU hope to gain by removing them ?

I am not hoping to gain anything, I was just trying to follow the bleak instructions. I agree they are there for a reason, but since I am now installing a non oem part in its replacement it obviously has different specs thus possibly requiring modifications.... Pretty sure my question wasn't about the importance of the check valves but ok.
So I called CNC and spoke with Corey and all I can say is the guy was a great help, he told me I can leave the check valves in the pump, he just recommend me to run the oil cross over kit. I was a hesitant to run the oil cross over kit since I had the Riff Raff one years ago and something failed and sprayed all the oil out. Thank god I had the original plugs and orings with me, I just had to have someone drive 300 miles to bring me 4 gallons of oil. Anyways he assured me that their line is of much better quality and sense it is a stainless steel braided line handles the vibration MUCH better than the hardline from riff raff.
On top of everything I had ordered my line through 1023 diesel, cause shipping was was like 4 dollars cheaper lol. I informed Corey that and asked if there was anyway I could just pay the difference between the bundle of all three lines and what I had payed for the two, plus shipping. Well he said he could make that happen for me, great guy and great customer service. I look forward to doing business with them later.
Corey has always been a stand up guy and well respected by the FTE community. I have been a customer of his several times and would not hesitate for a second to be so again.
