Koer code 18

so I ended up getting key on engine running code18 because my truck was misfiring after about an hour of driving guess it warms up and it'll start doing it but when it's cool it drives great and after it warms up it starts missing well somebody told me to pull the engine coolant temp or the EGR solenoid so I did one of the other I pulled the EGR solenoid because that was the last thing I installed now the truck doesn't do it what could be the problem the truck does not misfire at all if it does i can't feel it now and the truck runs a hundred times better can somebody please give me some insight on this . Would I need to adjust my timing or advance it or back it off because you would think with everything plugged in that it would run better but with the solenoid unplugged it runs great but when when it's all plugged in it runs bad I don't know if it's if the timing is to far advanced or whatever but I know the code 18 was there and it's not there now I don't understand what the problem could be can somebody please help me understand this mess please
