I am getting 2 codes on my 2000 7.3l 4x4 limited I am not sure how to fix.
The first code is P1316 ignition driver monitor codes detected. I am on a tight budget if someone knows what I need to fix it would be a huge help.
The other code is P1247 turbo boost pressure low. Any help on what to look at would be greatly appreciated. I am going on a 2400 mile round trip drive soon and I need the excursion to be in the best condition to make the trip. Thanks for any and all help.
1247 is low turbo boost
1316 is a IDM fault, which is Injector Drive Module
if it were mine I would fix the P1247 first, reset the DTC and see if the P1316 shows up again and if it does do you get any other codes which should give you a clue as to the cause of the P1316.
The likely and easy cause of the p1247 is leaking CAC boots, turbo boots or the EBP tube needs cleaning.
from the ford factory manual. P1217 likely causes and then FJ9 is the pin point test for P1316

Thank you. It gives me a good place to start. I will let you all know how it turns out as I progress.
Do you have a misfire? A common cause of P1316 is an open circuit to an injector(s) because the under valve cover (UVC) harness came unplugged inside. It happened to me earlier this year.
