If that is true...why did my friend get pulled over for too many forward facing lights in Michigan when his truck wasn't plated in that state? I'm pretty sure you have to abide by the laws of the state that you are in...one reason why I won't drive through IL.

Ummmm, I don’t know if you read my postings or the topic of the posting but at no point did I mention anything about forward facing lights or any lights for that matter.
False. Certain states are what they call pass-through states, Virginia being one of them. It means that if you drive through here you have to follow our laws. It's really unfair for people who are on vacation, but also makes sense so people don't just register their car somewhere else so they can break the law
So let me get this straight.........you’re telling me that if the percentage of tint in your State is not the same as Virginia, you cannot drive your vehicle in that State and if one does, they’ll get a ticket?
Remember, the topic at hand here is window tint not radar detectors.
With that being said, I’ve driven through Virginia before and I did receive a speeding ticket but absolutely nothing was said about my window tint which is darker than the State of Virginia allows.
$150.
The guy comes to my house.
Has done 4 of my vehicles.
Awesome work.
Tint prices vary because not all tint is created equal.
I don’t have a pano roof but to get all of my windows done cost me $750.00 and my tint brand of choice is Huper Optik.
I also had my windshield done for $250.00 and again, my brand of choice is Huper Optik.
With that being said, the price quote of $600.00 dollars that you received sounds about right.
Any idea what brand they used for that quote?

Yes that is true...it's unlikely an officer would bother you for it especially if it looks like you are traveling and don't live here. But technically they can ticket you if they wanted to.
Its the same with lift height, I forget what the bumper requirement is in VA, but a lot of people from NC drive through here with their massive trucks and still get ticketed (no height law in NC)
I think you probably have this backwards...5% is the amount of light it lets through. 5% is considered "limo tint". I saw dark tint like that on a windshield one time at an auto show. I sat in the Hummer and could hardly see out.

LOL......5% on a windshield would be a very interesting drive/ride after the sun ☀️ goes down.
