Front window tint

Hi,
For those that have gotten their front windows tinted to match the rear (assuming 20% factory tint on rear) , did most of you match front tint% to rear, in other words, did you tint front windows slightly darker than “legal” of 32%?
Any issues with law enforcement? Thanks

I went "Limo Black" (5%) on the rear windows (side and back) and I went 5% more than legal on the side front windows.

I believe legal is 43%, so I pushed it a bit at 35%.

I have a friend that actually tinted his windshield. Interesting concept but it's not happening to my truck.

It's not legal in most states. You can cross-reference here to see if you're in a state that allows front windshield tinting.

20% on the front windows is a darn near perfect match to the back windows and rear window. That is what I have done with all of my crew cab trucks and suv's.

windshield tint

I've always done my windshield its like 5% I think. Its hardly noticeable from outside but I think it helps at night with headlight glare and also helps with uv rays.

I just did mine for what was legal in my neighboring state of CO, no limits here in WY.

I'm considering doing my windshield too! Sounds like a great idea.

I had mine done at 70% with ceramic tint to block out all UV’s. Now I don’t use a windshield shade. Driving at night, in town or out, is unaffected, it’s largely unnoticeable, and there’s no tacky eyebrow tint.

I did 35% on the back over the factory tint, and 15% on front.

Also something to remember the rears are only dyed glass. No UV protection so its worth putting something over them so keep the rays out.

I did 30% Ceramic on the front side windows and over all of the privacy glass to ensure UV protection all the way around. Needed to keep it legal for my state as they can pull you over for it. It's also dark and cloudy here half the year so need to be able to see out of them at night.

not sure what %, but I did the ceramic tint in front with no affect on the light but the reason was to cut out most of UV light
