OD light flashes

Im new here figurin this out, My 99 f350 supercrew diesel got the OD light flashing in park or nuetral what could this be

there are codes just like the ses light you need to see if you can get the codes read and post it will be alot easier to diagnose.

when mine was flashing it indicated an overheated transmission (275 degrees+).

I also got the flashing OD Light, and it ended up in a rebuilt transmission. (Overheating) Don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but it will cost you some...... That was what started me onto gauges, and eventually some more mods.....

My OD light flashing was caused by a bad VSS sensor on top of the rear-end... replaced it with one from Napa..$10.49..

When my vss sensor went out the OD light flashed along with the ABS light and the Speedo didn't work all the time. If that is the problem then you are in luck and will be under $15 and only take 5 min, but if it is what everyone else is leaning towards good luck!
