Keyless remote control receiver

I'm trying to locate the receiver for the keyless remote door unlocker/locker. It's a 1994 Ford, F-150, std 2-door cab, 5.0l engine. I need to know whether this truck came originally with remotes and receiver dealer installed. The vin is 1FTEF15N5RNA77560. Maybe, with the vin someone can determine if the truck came originally with the remote keyless entry system. Thanks, Iraa

You wouldn’t be able to tell by the VIN if it had that option unless you have the dealer look it up; it doesn’t show anything here https://vincheck.me/ford/f-150/1ftef15n5rna66297/

if you have manual locks, then clearly you don’t have the system

this vendor sells the transmitters. Send them your vin and they can check. Maybe if you contact them they could tell you what to look for to see if you have a receiver already in your truck

I have a remote that came with the truck, but it's the wrong remote. It still worked for a while sometimes intermittently. Now, it will lock the doors but not unlock them. I have ordered the correct remote and will need to reprogram the new remote when it arrives. Does anyone know where the problem might be when it still locks but will not open the doors. Could this problem be on drivers side on floor under the plastic "door sill"?

have you tried putting a new battery in the remote? When the battery starts dying, it doesn’t completely die, it just starts acting quirky.
