So are you saying that the vibration started after the new driveshaft was worked on? I would have the shop recheck their work, you should also check the driveshaft phasing.
mount was same bought it from Dennis Carpenter- as soon as I drove after new mount that’s when vibration started. Took to work my guy thought maybe u joints and or needed to drive shaft re balanced-which I did - then went to install the shaft and the yoke was too short - so had them install a longer yoke . Vibration happens just before I go into 2nd and 3rd and then starts around 40 mph . My cell is 336-408-6800
I have a 52, and replaced the mushy stock mount with a DC mount (made in India). It is as hard as rock. Ever since I have felt a lot more vibration than I think is appropriate. Don't know what we can do, not sure I'd trust an OEM that's been on the shelf for 30 years.
Not a expert but from what you say it sounds like a engine RPM thing?? If you say it does it at the top of 1st and 2nd gears then in 3rd gear at higher RPM? If you have a tach or can tell by sound that the vibration occurs at a certain engine speed then I would look at engine/flywheel/ clutch/input shaft in trans, etc. If you engine isn't firing evenly on all 8 it can cause quite a vibration with a stick shift. Can you get the vibration to come on if you slowly rev up the engine in neutral? Good luck!
Obviously, if the mount is correct and correctly installed you would not have need to lengthen the yoke.
Sounds like the drive line angle is wrong at the rear of the trans.
you answered your own question, it had no vibration before you changed the mount, so the mount or the install is wrong
yes I will also vibrate in neutral when pressing the gas . All this started after replacing the trans mount
If this is the case, then the driveline assembly is not causing it. The vibration may be caused by something between the back of the engine and the front of the transmission.
You should check the clutch assembly and flywheel. Possibly something is coming loose there. The engine firing order should also be verified, as it can run out of order, but will vibrate badly. http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/F...ng_49-53v8.jpg

Spot on! I would add, the radiator fan and front motor mounts are suspect. Unless the clutch was touched during the rear mount work, doesn't seem that would be the problem.
