I want to install a front sway bar on my 1980 F100. Did the F100 come with a sway bar? I have a 1986 F150 4X4 it has a sway bar and four shocks. Was this typical of a 4X4 to have sway bar and four shocks?
Will the 4X4 sway bar work and what do I need to pull it off? the pivot at the base of the coil spring looks like the issue.

F150 4WD is not a good comparison since F100's were not available with 4WD after 1976.

Not standard, no. It was an option that came with a handling or towing package.

Not standard, no. I don't know what it was called...maybe NumberDummy does...but the quad shocks came with a handling package, or a towing package, or both were together, I'm not sure.

It is no problem to add swaybars. I bought front and rear sway bars for my 1984 F150. It is my understanding, at least with the 1/2 ton trucks, that the sway bars are all the same or mostly the same it was just the mounting of them that changed. If you read some of the old threads on here you'll find where guys went to the junkyard and grabbed complete front/rear swaybar sets from 87-96 trucks and swapped them right into their Bullnoses.
The pivot mount at the base of the coil spring is the hardest part to find imho. Once you find and install that part, the rest of it is easy.
Thank You Guys, I should have stated the F100 was 2wd just to be clearer. I am hoping that the 4X4 components will work. There is a bracket under the coil spring seat that the sway bar attaches to. I didn't see it on the previous drawings.
I have an aftermarket one that I am trying to sell.
It attaches to the I-Beams and bolts to the frame.
It is a Hellwig 7489.
Truck has to have forged I-Beam instead of the stamped ones, my truck has stamped so it won't work.
Rembrandt... LMC sent me an email with the dimensions of part# 45-1446 and they match up very well with my rear sway bar bushing.
The measurements from LMC...
We are showing to have the following information for part number 45-1446:
width is 2-1/4"
height is 2-1/8"
depth is 1-5/8"
sway bar hole diameter is 13/16"
The other bushing that I inquired about, which was suggested by MR KROGOTH, was from Ecklers Automotive and that part# is 51-46670-1. I do not have those dimensions at the moment but I will share that info once I have it.
