1992 E150 Code 34
I have recently purchased a used 1992 E150 econoline van and it has an airbag 34 error. The seller had put black tape over the light so I didn't see it when doing my test drive

The cruise control is not working either, so I replaced the clockspring thinking it would solve both of my errors. Unfortunately, code 34 is still flashing and the cruise control still does not work. I'm wondering what I should do next. A mechanic I know says that this an issue with the airbag control module. Should the module be replaced with a new one or can I send it to be reset? There are not a lot of airbag control modules available anymore and resetting it would be much cheaper. I'm not 100% sure if the vehicle has been in an accident and the airbags have been deployed since the CarFax was clean and the body does not show any accident damage.
To add to the diagnosing, one odd thing I've found when replacing my clockspring is that the furthest connection from the steering wheel was not completed. Since the last connection has no obvious connector for me to plug it into, my last connection is not completed and is currently open. Is this last connection necessary? Would plugging that in effect the cruise control / airbag? I've attached a picture pointing to the connection I never completed.
Thanks!
Clocksprings are not only year and model specific they do or do not include connections for VSC or cruise control. If your chassis wiring doesn't have a mating connector for the one you're showing here then that's probably not the correct part.
