Does anyone know where the power door lock relays are on a 2002 Excursion? My door locks (both sides) will only lock and won't unlock. I can unlock from the key fab as well as the door number pad. I think it's an issue with the relay but I can't find it. I found the ones under the hood and there are some up under the dash that you can get to via the drivers side. None of them control the door locks though.
If you have remote keyless entry, you do not have any relays, everything is contained within the Vehicle Security Module (VSM).
Thanks! That would explain why I can’t find it! Any idea why the door unlock won’t work? It’s both sides. They will both lock but the unlock doesn’t work on either.
Could it be that the driver side is bad? I haven’t tried swapping them yet.

Here's the circuit diagram for the 2002.
Maybe you could monitor what's happening on the WH/RD wire at the VSM connector C2113a pin 3 to be sure it goes to GND when UNLOCK is selected.
If I'm reading this drawing right the WH/RD goes to GND when UNLOCK is selected and is open when LOCK is selected.
The BK/WH, VSM C2113a pin 2, will go to GND when LOCK is selected and is open when UNLOCK is selected.

If it were an issue with a relay or the VSM then the FOB would not unlock the doors. To me it sounds like the switch unlock safety feature is enabled.
That feature is only operable under very specific circumstances, if equipped. Outside those circumstances, the problem is going to be either switches, wiring, or the input circuit for the unlock switch function of the VSM. Just because the remote unlock works does not mean that the VSM can be removed from suspicion as there is still the switch input circuit that would not be part of the remote unlock circuit.
Check the named input pin (3) with a voltmeter. With no button pushed, it is probably going to read some voltage up to battery. With either unlock button pushed, the voltage should drop to zero. If the drop does not occur, the switch wiring is suspect. If the voltage dropped as expected but there is no unlock action, then the VSM is faulty.
