Misfire on #6, not the injector
Misfire on #6, not the injector
How's it going guys? I have a 2006 F350 6.0. i started getting a shake at highway speed so i took it in and Ford told me it was a misfire on number 6 and that it needs a new injector, so i bought a new injector and installed it. that has not fixed the problem. i don't know if it might be a fuel issue before the injector? is there a way to test the pressure for each injector?
I have to ask, what injector did you replace, what side & which one back from the front of the engine?
Are you able to check for codes? Have you nspected the harness for chafe? Have you checked fuel pressure running under load?

I replaced the Injector on the drivers side, second to the rear. I looked over the harness while we had everything out and nothing seemed out of line. i don't have a reader and havnt checked pressure.
I think you might be able to swap the wires between cylinders to see it the problem migrates. I also bunged up the pins on one of my injector connectors putting it back on. Finally, those connectors can seem connected but not actually be. Ditto on the FICM connections.
