parts help

I have a c4 and the tail shaft housing is broke where the seal goes in
the part # is d00p-7a040-a will a d42p-7a040-aa interchange
there is on on evilbay3

These are ID numbers, not part numbers and these extension housings are for cars. What are you working on?

I'm guessing you meant D4ZP-7A040-AA. My interchange book does not show that number but all the ones with a ZP in the number say they fit an FMX. I looked on e-bay and if I'm looking at the same part you are that guy only has 24 feedback ratings and he is at 93%. I wouldn't buy a bolt from him much less a transmission part. There are several D0OP-7A040-A housings on there break out your wallet and buy one you know will fit. Just a thought.

That's good to know ND. I will write that in that book for future ref. it said that not all the numbers were known, since this book is for junk yard guys. Boy you are up early or late!

hmm thanks for the info guys the c4 I have docent have the tag on it anymore and it came with the truck along with a running 289/302 ?
I broke the back end off mine were the seal pressed in when it fell off the cheep jack when I was putting it in and hit the concrete floor
don't want to weld it back on that cash for clunkers sure but a wrench in the spar parts around here

Looks like there are about 6 of those D0OP's on e-bay right now. I suppose you have already tried the local junk yards and transmission shops. It's always worth going around and asking, you never know what kind of treasures some of these places have until you ask them.
