part number question
it is for a 65 f100. at the drive end of the prop shaft (the short shaft on a two piece driveshaft) there is a universal joint with a splined slip joint which goes to the main driveshaft. on the splined end there is a metal washer and then a cork seal which fits over the splines. i'm looking for the cork seal.
thanks!
That's not surprising, considering it's a real b!tch to find.

Then read thru the chart until you find the slip yoke part number that 42 represents (C5TZ-4841-F). The seal is listed next to the part number.
O1Y-7097 .. Cork Seal / Obsolete / Cork shrinks with age, soak the puppy in hot water, then let it dry before installing.

There is no pic for an F100, I used the F250 pic (Illustration section 46, Page 4). And the thing is, I was pretty sure I knew the part number up front, but wanted to verify it.
Total time spent: 45 minutes, pushing my time spent on FTE today to 11 straight hours. Peepers look like two burnt holes in a blanket.
I owned a similar 1965 F100 for 44 years, so here's some more info. The 3 U-joints used w/a two piece driveshaft have 2 cups that are 1310's, 2 cups that are 1330's:
C5TZ-4635-F .. U-joint / Dana/Spicer part number: 210392-X = Comes in handy at autoparts stores.
