Here is what I'm finding under that part number (this is not the part number, it's the ID engineering number marked on the bell housing) and it doesn't match.

So can someone explain please. Ford 302 351W Hyd Bell Housing 1983 1996 E4TA 7505 DA = 460 Aluminum | eBay
(sigh) Most ebay sellers haven't a single clue what parts fit. The above is a typical example, it does not fit 302/351W, it only fits 1984/87 7.5L (460) T-19.

This is what you want:

E4TZ-7505-A .. Bell Housing / Marked with ID Engineering number: E4TA-7500-A or E7TA-AA / Obsolete

Applications: 1984/87 F250/350 6.9L & T-19.

Pic: Scroll down to 7505

Here's the page from the 1980/89 truck parts catalog that shows the 7505 bell housing part numbers, their ID Engineering numbers and applications:

What Bill didn't quite say but implied, is that Ford quit putting the true part number on the part in 1954. Instead they put the engineering or ID number on the part. So, the number on the part is not the part number.

To make it worse, much of the aftermarket uses the Ford-supplied Engineering number as a part number.... some places recognize it only with the number stamped/printed/cast o the item, some places understand BOTH the ID as well as actual part numbers, other places understand only the true part numbers and ignore the number printed/stamped on the thing... it can get confusing.

It is actually worse than that even. In two cases recently I've seen aftermarket parts with both a part number and an engineering number - but the numbers were from different parts. IOW, they couldn't have ever been associated with the same part.

Ifyou can't find one I think you have two other options; Install a 5 speed zf(you will get overdrive with this) or take your bell and have it welded.

And that maybe the best way to go.
The way it cracked it would have put a lot of side load on the input shaft what did it do to the trany?

I would also like to know how that happened? Bolts & pin on that side would have to fall out to cause that I would think.
Good luck
