Head gasket question

Wires into the FICM see to be seated and I dont see any chaffing on the wiring harness. Went to pull the cap off the fuel regulator to see if I was getting any air in the fuel. Guess what broke (yes I was using a socket). So any tips to removing the cap would be appreciated.
I put a box wrench on a broken one to support the plastic, then used my 1/2" ratchet to turn it off.
