I can't seem to find a thread that details on how to remove part of the overhead console. The plastic face frame around the sunglass cubby is busted and I need to remove it to epoxy and clamp it because the epoxy and duct tape route I went initially failed.
There should be one screw inside the second cubby, the one after the sunglass holder. Remove that. There's a clip up at the front that you can snap out and bring the console down.

First cubby (sunglass) had a phillips screw. Second one had no screw behind the velcro. I pulled the screw and she is still up there pretty tight

First - second cubby...I know one of them had that one screw holding it up
Slowly, but firmly, pry the clips around the edges and then tug it for the console to come off. I've read elsewhere on the forum that it does take a considerable amount of tugging. It has been a while since I removed mine, so I don't recall how tightly it was sitting in there.
Pull from the very front of the console near the window (straight down) and the front clips will disengage, the back has a hanger bar that holds it up to make it easier to install/un-install (for one person). To get it off the rear hanger bar just lift the back end up and move it forward, then down it comes.
if it helps, a console from an expedition works too. Both of my holders were broken and I picked up an expedition console. Very easy to unscrew the holder portion and swap
