I was looking through a parts catalog and found that there are two different types of fuel pumps for the 223 with electric wipers and with vacuum wipers. I have a 59 with a 223 and stock vacuum wipers. I have an electric wiper motor that I plan on replacing. What is the difference?
To be honest I'm not sure, but I don't see why not. Might need to install a NPT plug in the unused port? To keep out debris. Here's where I hector you to check the fuel pump pressure output though regardless. The last new pump I bought put out 8.5 psi and trashed the viton rubber needle tip in the carburetor. Stock pressure is 5 psi or so. Make sure they don't sell you junk, make sure what's installed now is serviceable.
I don't have a good picture of my existing pump and I don't have my truck with me at the moment but as far as I can tell that its the original glass bowl type.
I plan on rebuilding it and I'll be sure to cap the port. Thanks for the fuel pressure notes!

B9A-9350-B (replaced B8A-9350-F) is a fuel and vacuum pump for 1958/60 F100/600 223.
The two other pictured pumps were not used with 223's. 223 cancelled at the end of the 1964 model run, replaced in 1965 with 240 & 300 I-6's
