I just got my refurbished ficm back in the mail the other day. I went to install it and I’m only getting 2.40 volts out of it. Is there anyway to test if the harness is good because idk what would be wrong with it. My battery levels are at 11.24. Please help me.
Do you have other readings to help us help you? Are you getting FICM sync? Are you getting injector clatter Key On Engine Off? Does the voltage just sit at 2.40 volts and stay there, or does it 'count down' to 2.4? Do you have any blown fuses, notably the 'IDM' fuse? Have you contacted the place where you got the FICM from to see what assistance they could offer you? Even if you didn't get it from FICMRepair (from us), I'd be happy to help you. We are all in this together! Of course, if something else is wrong, we carry whatever parts you need to get your rig up and running again!
I can’t help you with the FICM issues but your batteries need to be charged at least...you can see here how low your batteries are sitting. If they’re old, I’d charge them and have them Load tested.
My ficm starts at 47 volts and works it’s way down to 2.40 volts. I talked to my buddy about it and he thinks that my power supply on my ficm went bad.

It's very unusual to see a FICM issue cause a drop to such a low voltage. If it IS the FICM, I'd put odds on it being a combination of a logic board issue and a power board issue. Yes, we work on both sides, but before we go condemning it I'd take this unit and drop it into a buddy's 6.0 if you have someone local that would let you. Alternatively, you can ship it over to us and we can look at it for you.
So when I plug it into my harness it goes from 47v to 2 in about 15 secs, I have no clatter or anything. I’m gonna see if charging my batteries will help it. But if not I’m gonna have the ficm tested from a local diesel shop. I checked my harness with a volt meter and I was getting 11v out of my harness so I don’t think my harness is bad.
Well I know what that is because I have seen it personally.
Replace the 50A power fuse in the fuse box. Don't just look at and think it OK because it's not.
EDIT: Your looking for a red fuse.
Also it really would help to know what this is on as your About Me info does not show a 6.0L at all.
For the 05 and up F1.15 and F1.5
For the older then 05 Fuse F2.103 and F2.103
BUT check the diagrams . BJB is in the engine bay.
Also the 05 and newer is the top diagram I used the 06 one to post.
The lower diagram is the 04 and older one
