The Bolt lock looks like a pretty cool idea. After reading the reviews on Amazon, Ford keys seem to have an issue. Several people reported that after using it several times the lock suddenly quite unlocking and they had to cut it off. Some also reported the lock somehow failing and having their trailer drop to the ground while going down the road. Has anyone here had any problems?
I drilled out a 5/8” hitch pin to use a Master padlock. I use the same lock on several trailers, etc.
For the record, Since this pic I swapped over all my trailer chain hooks to ones large enough to accommodate the Ford hitch..

I had a Bolt hitch pin. I noticed that the lock was gone last week. Luckily the hitch pin was still in place but got a little nauseous thinking about what could have happened. I thought that I had just not secured the lock properly. Have others had the lock fall off?
