Should I pack entire equalizer bar (no zerk fitting) tube with grease or just the pivot ends? Also, whats the best grease to use? 1966 F100 / 352 / NP435 trans.
Wheel bearing grease is commonly used since it doesn't get runny when it gets warm and you don't have to pack the tube. In this case the grease gets warm from engine heat instead of the bearings spinning, but the grease is supposed to be held somewhat in place by a felt washer on either end of the tube just outside of the bushings that support it.
