New to your boards and happy to be here. I have a 2018 F250 6.2L Gas and need to run a wire for a satellite antenna puck from the infotainment head unit out to mount it on the engine cover just in front of the windshield. Looking for any advice, photos, etc. that would help me find the easiest way to run the thin wire through the firrewall.
Thank you both. Did you have to cut the grommet/boot at all, or were you able to just fish your wire right through?
@Mlambert22 Nice rig and 5th wheel. I bought my F250 to haul a Northstar popup truck bed camper. Also new to RVs, but learning fast. The 5th wheel is on my list after retirement. Probably look to go to the diesel at that point.

I pried the edges of it with a screwdriver and fished it thru the side this time, on my '12 I made a slit.... both times was to fish a couple wires and air line for my on board compressor.. then I put a some filler and silicone to seal it up and made sure nothing was on the sharp edges
There are four circuits on the passenger side that Ford provides for customer use. Take a look at this video. The guy sets up high idle using an upfitter switch and those passthrough circuits. Don't penetrate the firewall unless you absolutely have to.
Thanks for all of your advice! I ended up running it through the grommet behind the parking brake. Had cut off more of that little nipple than I wanted to, but it's stil pretty snug. I'll probably drop some silicone sealer in there to be sure.
50% of ALL vehicles on the road today have rodent nests (majority don't even realize it) so I'd double up insulation, caulking, etc anywhere you go thru that firewall...............
