I have a simple question that I hope someone can answer. I'm going to be installing a new stereo (head unit, amps, subs) next month. I'm going to attempt this installation myself. I have 2 simple questions. Where is a safe place to drill through the firewall to bring in a 4 guage wire for power into the cabin, and can anyone tell me where I can get step by step instructions on installing monitors in the headrest? I'm really looking forward to this installation, and any help at all would be really appreciated. God Bless!!!
I brought a heavy guage wire for an amp from the battery, across the top of the firewall in the black plastic tunnel the wire harness rides in, then through a large grommet in the firewall (next to the master cylinder) into the cabin. From there you can run it to either side, under the plastic step plates to the back, if need be (there is a real nice sized channel under there where they have wire harnesses running already).
As for the instructions, there's gotta be some places on the net that show details. I'd try a google search. You might also try Crutchfields. They have just about everything.
