My new to me 1967 F250 has a crack just under the pitman arm, it runs the entire width across the lower part of the c channel in the frame. My thought is to have it welded and plated, anything else I should do?
Do a search in here and in the 73-79 area for the same issue, cracked frame, to see what all they did for a fix.
They way I look at it the more information you have the better.

I wouldn't let Them Touch with a 10 Foot Pole with a Reply like that. It can be Fixed by any Jack Leg putting some slag over it.But if you wont it done right Strip Off everything own the Frame Rail at Least 10" before and Aft and Grind it out and back it up.

Based on how they described the resolution that's what is being done. I just didn't go through all the trouble of stating exactly what the repair would entail...Maybe I should have.
