Sun visor airbag warning sticker removal

Let’s discuss these ridiculous stickers on the sun visors in our new trucks. I recently picked up a leftover 2018 F-250, Fantastic truck except for the multiple! giant 8X6 inch yellow stickers warning me in every language about rollovers and airbags. They simply have to go. We’re not talking about little yellow stickers on the inside of the visor. These things are absolutely huge and in your face at all times. They look absolutely ridiculous. Worse, they aren’t stickers anymore, it’s like screen printed plastic that’s baked into the fabric itself. My google-fu has failed me.

Some people recommend pulling slowly and u;sing a heat gun/hair dryer. I tested this on my wife’s car. They were more stickers than screen prints and it didn’t work. Left glue behind that I mostly got off - but no cleaner can quite get it all out of the fabric and it still shows a white residue. Better than the sticker - but not perfect. I’m also of the opinion (but haven’t tried) that this will not work on the screen printed variety.

I tried sun visor solutions which has been recommended here in a few threads. These are basically patches of fabric that you stick over the stickers and they match the visor. This worked reasonably well for my wife’s car (again as a test). The edges are slightly frayed and it isn’t a perfect cover up - but it’s better than the yellow sticker, or the residue left behind. I’d go this route - but, there isn’t a color that matches my interior fabric on my F250. Sigh.

So what’s next? Goo gone or some other harsh chemical? Anyone else have any success taking this route? Specifically on a newer screen printed sticker?

Just buy two new aftermarket visors without stickers on them? I’m thinking this is probably the way to go. Any recommendations on a brand? How hard are they to install?

It’s such a shame - these stickers are really getting out of hand.

Thanks for the read,
Kongar

I never even notice them anymore.

Simplest solution may be to just buy a replacement visor, assuming they don’t also come with stickers

Lighter fluid (naptha, coleman fuel) is about as strong and safe as it gets for finishes and fabrics. Great spot remover, great for removing adhesives, residues, cleaning grime off old furniture finishes without damage etc. Now it is flammable X2, all the usual standard disclaimers apply.

They are heat transfer stickers, they can be removed with steam or height. Be warned the fabric will shrink it's very thin.
