I have a tire cleaner called "bleach white" that is about five years old and some bug and tar remover thats about 10 years old. Does anyone know if these products can go bad?
I have just graduated from college and I have no money and no job, but you are right bug and tar remover is cheap...I did notice an 11 year old bottle of car wash liquid soap that went from either green or blue in color to brown so I ended up buying a new one of those
On a side note my dad has gotten to the point where he takes all the cars to the car wash so these products had alot of dust on them
well if you dont want to by new, then try it on a place where no one will see, and see if it works, if it does awesome, if it doesn't well then it must have gone bad but i have never heard of stuff like that going bad...
I would tend to think the soap and bug remover are probably OK. The bleach - if it is a true hypochlorite or oxygen bleach - will probably break down over time and may not have the "punch" that a new solution would.
Storage will have a lot to do with it too. If the products were stored under a household sink in a relatively climate controlled environment, they would last longer versus being stored in a garage that may bake in summer heat and freeze in winter cold.
Just a side note, but the Westley's Bleach-White is the greatest stuff on tires, especially if you have white letters. I've used it since forever & love it! Makes 'em look brand new.
