Sounds like it worked out well. And I gotta admit it's been so long I totally forgot that there were fuses not related to the headlights on the light switch. Does complicate things if you swap out to a different switch, so hopefully there is either a way to do it easily with the old style switch, or Stamati's interested in re-wiring a segment of the harness!
Doesn't sound like it initially, but I can see the benefit.
