Hello I’m new here and wanted to see if anyone had encountered these codes when your check engine light came on? All the Ford Shops are 2 weeks out and I wanted to know if this is an easy fix for myself.
Sounds like the CAC temp sensor is bad or is unplugged. Have you done any work around or near the CAC (cold air) tube? the tube that comes from the inter cooler to the intake?
I have not messed with the truck at all. I was driving out of town to work and the check engine light came on. Could you explain to me where the sensor is located and if it’s easy to change?
The last photo above shows the location. The sensor is item #9 in the cold air tube (CAC). It just snaps in, 1/4 turn. You might have to lift the locking tab on the sensor. See above photos.
Hi, regularly read this forum, but never joined till now. Question is, can you clean the CAC temp sensor like you can the MAF sensor with the spray can MAF cleaner you buy at the auto parts store? thanks!
I don't see why not. I doubt the CAC temp sensor is as sensitive to chems as the MAF might be. Worse come to worse is you have to install a new CAC temp sensor.
I also have had the p026a code come up on my 15 f250 6.7. I took it in for recall on the reductant sender and also had a message
" coolant change required" truck has 148k so I thought no big deal after diagnostic thats when they said it threw two more codes the p026a & p24a0 manual Regen air filter and pre filter. Service guy said radiator needed to be replaced because of crack. I haven't noticed and leak reservoir is full and has never over heated I barely even drive the truck. Need help... Find it very hard to believe I have a crack in radiator especially after hearing it may be as simple as a sensor.
