Alternative wiper system
For the wiper system on the F1 I decided to go with a system I have used on other projects that I knew well. It is used on many classic British vehicles such as Mini, MGB, Triumph etc...
As I was completely re-doing the dash I had easy access so installation was straight forward as you can see below. Still plenty of space to install the Vintage Air AC unit. Worked well, bought from EBay for around $100.
Made a shell to hold the motor and welded into space into the passenger side dash area -
Mounted the wheelboxes at what I hope to be the correct angle for the wiper arms to the windscreen -
Cut and shaped the tubes between the motor and the two wheelboxes -
Powered up and tested.
