Issues with Sync After iPhone Update / Best Way to Get Music to Sync
Two questions:
1. Anyone having issues with Sync 3 after upgrading to iOS 12.1 on an Apple device?
I keep an iPod in the truck with 1400 or so songs connected through USB - prior to the 12.1 update, everything worked great... After the update, voice recognition is way off, and after playing from the iPod for a while (I have not timed it), the Sync iPod “now playing” screen locks up. The buttons for forward, back, play, stop, etc. do not respond, and unplugging the iPod and reattaching does not help.
Interestingly, I can switch to any other source and listen to that, but the iPod option will not work until I restart the truck.
This is a 2018 F-250 Lariat with the latest Sync 3 software installed.
2. How are others storing music for use with Sync? All of my music is in iTunes, and the best option I have found is to sync an iPod with a playlist, and then leave that device in the truck. Am I missing a better (more reliable) option? My main computer is a Mac, if that makes any difference.

That’s an option, but I want to be able to take my phone with me AND still have music still playing through Sync for the wife, if I have to jump out for some reason. Plus, I would also have to chose the playlist each time the iPhone connects, versus having only the tunes from one playlist on the iPod.
