PHP Hydra and Apple iOS
Are there any options here aside from buying Android/PC hardware? Is anyone running Parallels successfully?
I turned to the Dark Side and went all Apple years ago, I find their hardware FAR superior but software options are limited, unfortunately...
Need to get some revised tunes loaded and since I went (F)unemployed, I no longer have a work-supplied PC lying around to do silly things with like load tunes, download ****, etc.

being an Mac user I feel your pain,, finally broke down and bought a $59 dell latitude 2110 off eBay to fun the full version of Forscan though and it is prefect for that, even has a no slip rubberized case similar to the $3000 tough book the Ford techs have to buy LMAO.
check the detail of the unit as there are tons of them available since they were a school computer, none have Bluetooth and the graphics are not **** worthy.

I run parallels on my MacBook Pro as much of the software I use for my job is only compatible with Windows. That said I have never used FORScan on my MacBook, but all other windows only software packages work exactly as they would.
I switched to parallels from Bootcamp because I was tired of having to restart the computer to switch from one to the other...that said I’m running 16gb ram and a 1TB SSD so I have the memory to spare. When you install windows into parallels you can set up the partition size and adjust how resources are shared between the two OS’s.
If you’d like I can try to give FORScan a go of it tomorrow night and report back.

I use Bootcamp, but have a copy of Parallels that I should install... I can't say I've had any issues with compatibility, but it is a pain to reboot for that one app I need in the MicroSoft universe. Unfortunately, I don't have experience with PHP's app(s) on MS in Bootcamp, though.
If you just need to use something temporarily, I have an older Nexus 7 I could loan you... It maxed out on updates a few years ago, I don't know what OS version you need to run PHP but if it will work I'll send it your way.

I have not completely turned yet. I have an iPhone and iPod Nano and everything else is Windows. I have a 12-year-old laptop that is my shop manual and ISSPRO gauge station. I also have an 8-year-old laptop that I use for work (Office products) and my Hydra.
As pirate4x4_camo said, they are not "HD" worthy (paraphrasing ) but they get the job done. Hydra does not take much power to use so any Windows laptop will do. You can pick up old/used ones from schools/students for cheap. If you want something newer that will last a bit longer you can get a bare-bones Windows laptop.
