Anyone know anything about aftermarket aux tank pumps? When I fill that tank up, the pump works great for about 20 gallons, then, as the tank level drops, it starts pumping super slow. I'd be better off to get a siphon hose.
After I replaced my plastic CAC tube with holes in it, and the boots, I'm still getting a little oil below the front boot. Could it be anything else other than the intercooler? I assume those can leak oil too. When I saw the cracks in the tube I figured that was the source, but maybe the intercooler is cracked too? There does seem to be a little less oil than before, but I've cleaned it off a couple of times and it still comes back. Tiny drops.
My son's truck gave me a death wobble a couple of times the other day. Not from warped rotors, something wrong with the front end, but I didn't see anything obvious. His has a 5" lift. Happened when I was going about 50mph both times. First time, I hit a bump on the freeway. Second was a dip in the road on a lefthand curve. Very violent shaking. What should I be looking for?
Ordered a top tank for my radiator and it came in today. Looks good. $30 with shipping incl. I know that taking the old one off is easy from removing the one at the PickuPart place, will see if I can get all those tabs bent back over good without removing it from the truck. Or (the Bonehead), I screw it up or crack the new one.
Grab the top of the dash and pull. Put the steering wheel tilted down, and shifter all the way down. Work the perimeter to pop it off. The unplug the accessories and switches accordingly. The cluster unscrews and pulls out. On the top are 2 cam lock plugs that have levers to pop them out. The bulbs can be replaced from the rear. There is info on it if you do a Google search. If I find it I'll post a link.

The pump pumps strong initially probably because it has a good feed from head pressure. Once the level gets low its probably having a hard time drawing the fuel. The pump may be failing.

Helping you on other posts and what you've said, I think you are pushing some oil from blow-by. The drops you are finding is the condensation of oil in the intercooler. Some is normal. If it's really excessive I would pull the hot pipe and make sure there isn't oil coming from a bad turbo.

Balljoints, probably lower or both. Jack it up 2 inches and use a prybar under the outside edge of the tire to check. Another thing to check is the tie rod ends especially center link end at the pitman arm.

Good luck. U have more time than me I guess. I would of saved the aggravation and just put in a new radiator.
The pump mfg told me to check a screen inside the tank by pulling the pump. That just didn't seem to explain the good flow initially.
I'm thinking I got a bad turbo. That's prolly the fluttering sound I hear. Do you know whether the turbo off an Eseries is the same as this Fseries? I got that ambulance I blew up that should have a good turbo on it - although there are a PITA to get off of Eseries. Prolly worth the trouble as much as turbos cost.
I'll check out those ball joints and tie rods.
Don't know that I have more time than you, lol, but I am a cheap sob. That and my history with tranny lines, which for me have been more work than it'll be just bending all those tank tabs, replacing the tank, and then bending them back, without removing the radiator. If if was the lower tank, I'd definitely be replacing the radiator.

I'll check it out too, but it might be after the holidays.

The last time I messed with them a couple of years ago, I recall that the tool I bought from the auto parts store didn't work. So I borrowed a different type from the local radiator shop - I recall it being a small round disk - but couldn't get them off with it either. What tool do y'all use?
