Well, as far as the front cab mounts go, first off, we need to confirm or deny the chassis was originally Twin I Beam......but, if it indeed was TIB, then it may have been a case of then being very rusted where the cab mount rubbers sit. If you dig around on here, you will find pics of some mounts so badly rusted the rubbers would almost fall through the hole. If the builder had access to a donor chassis, it was probably easier to knock the rivets out and bolt on the donor parts than to cut out the bad parts, and weld in new metal, all the while keeping the center hole the correct size, and in the correct location.....

Going back a sec - why is my cab mount bolted on then if the frame would be '65? Wouldn't that match?

Ok that makes sense. I'll look closer at the body mount. But I can confirm it was a Rad arm truck. In these pics you can see the mounts. See the circle/hole above the pumpkin? and in the second pic the bracket thats at the far right of the picture.
The floorboards, clutch and brake pedals, steering column, and floor mat are indicating 1965/1966 and the floating gas pedal is indicating 1965 "From Serial 696,001" and 1966.
1966 F100 4WD has coil spring front suspension and radius arms.
1961/65 F100 4WD has leaf spring front suspension.
Does the VIN on the Warranty Plate match the VIN on the registration/title?
Warranty Plate decodes to a 1964 F100 2WD, and since it's attached with screws instead of rivets, some "hanky-panky" may have occurred.
Does this help - you can see the inner fender, it's very boxy and squared off looking. Below pic you can kinda see a cab mount on the passenger side.
If the valve covers and oil fill tube are an indication, this engine was swapped from a car.
The THUNDERBIRD valve covers (they were gold originally) were used on 1961/64 Galaxie & Thunderbird w/a 390.The engine oil fill tube was used on all 1958/64 FE engines.
FE engines were not installed in F100/350's until 1965, then used different valve covers with holes in them for oil fill cap (left front) and smog valve (right rear).
No FE engines have an oil fill tube after 1964. The bolt pattern on the 1958/64 FE blocks used for the rubber motor mount insulators is different than 1965/76.

Thanks this confirms what i was told about the engine - FE390 from a '64 T-Bird. But again in my last post for Cab parts I plan to buy to freshen the interior...am I good if i go with: '65 2WD parts? Again mainly looking for things like a new floor mat, visors, firewall pad, door panels, etc.

The cab pictured in post #15 is 1965/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD
This is a nice looking rig as Chad mentions, I would add that if my eyes are seeing it correctly, it has open knuckle front axle in it. A lot has been swapped around on the truck, probably best to start with the frame VIN number if you can find it. Have fun!
Looks possibly to be a Dana 60 out of late 78-79 era, also add on cross over steering set up. Measure width of front springs, if 3" wide my guess is close. Maybe PO had a later donor truck and that's ho he got the cab mounts, axle, etc.
Where is the transfer case located on this truck? Is it divorced or bolted right up to the 4 speed trans?
