What is the newest Super Duty front seats and middle jumper seat that will bolt into my 2003 Ford Excursion? I actually would like to go "backwards" and find manual seats from an XLT, so I don't have to mess with wiring them. Also, I like the adjustable head rests from the newer model trucks, as I have never liked how short the built in head rest is on our Excursions.
You could just keep your current seat base and mount any seat you want to it, That way you don’t have to wire it.
Excursions share the same forward cab and therefore seat mounting points and bracket as all 99-04 superduties, Not sure about earlier then 99 but mounting a old seat to newer seat base is simple enough.

Thanks for the suggestion. Problem is my seat base that is electric quit working. I think the motors are smoked. I would like to bolt in the newest seats I can find, that closely match my interior. My reference to going "backwards" is going from automatic electric seats to manual adjustable seats.
Diagnosing driver's seat problems can be lengthy, but I've been through it successfully and can help if you're interested in keeping you current setup. Mine ended up being a $125 module, not the $600 (parts only) track assembly that the dealership quoted the previous owner. As mentioned, it may be even cheaper/easier than that.
If you want to outline your current symptoms, I can give you some stuff to look at. Sometimes it's as simple as the Driver's Seat Module becoming disconnected and the memory/seat/pedal adjustment goes out.

Thanks for the willingness to help me out. Basically the symptoms are:
Adjustable foot pedals get stuck time to time, experienced this the entire time I have owned it since 2013.
Horn stopped working, and had a code for the clock spring. Had that replaced, and now horn works, and airbag light is off.
One day went to go and move the seat back, and smelled, heard, saw sparking/ smoke, from one of the motors under the seat. Hasn't worked since. Lucky for me, it is in the most reward position (i'm 6'6'') unlucky for my wife (she's 5'5").

Any advice on how to troubleshoot my driver seat forward / reverse switch/motor not working?
im still on the hunt for replacement seats that have a taller headrest but want to try and fix what I have first so my wife can drive the X.
I can say the newer seats and brackets are only similar to the older ones in bolting to the floor. How the seats mount to the brackets/frames is very different. I have my original 05's and a set of 13's and looked at putting the 13 seats on the 05 brackets but it would require custom fabrication.
Edit: I actually have 5hubs seats. The way it was done was quick and hacky. No discredit to 5hub he had someone else do the job. If bolted in and basically working is fine for you, 11+ seats are good to go quick and easy. To do it right is not at all a bolt on affair.

You likely need to replace the motor, it's not a difficult task with the seat out.
You can also bolt in newer seats for the taller headrest which also comes with replacement power adjust. The electrics don't plug in, you need to splice power and ground but it's just a couple wires. This will have the seat working but without memory. The bigger headache with this is the memory module that is needed to keep the adjustable pedals working, it is mounted to the driver seat. There really isn't anywhere for it plus it's rather large harness to go in the new seat.
For the time being I store the module in the vehicle and plug it in if I ever need to move the pedals then disconnect again. Not having memory recall isn't something I've missed, never really used it anyway.
Long term I want to go ahead and do the fabrication needed to put the new seats on the old frames.

Thanks for the helpful reply. Good news I think it that my X doesn't have memory seats. So does this mean I won't have to worry about the pedals? I will check rockauto for seat motors.

Not sure, to be honest I thought the adjustable pedals and memory functions were packaged together. If you have pedal adjustment without the memory function then it's easy enough to test out. Unplug the electrical connections to the body harness under the seat, and then see if your pedal adjustment still works. If it does you're in the clear.
