Audio/text problem

New truck new to the forum

2018 F-250 XLT
IPhone 8 IOS 12.1
Two issue same problem.

When I receive a text and press the “Hear It”. button the truck reads the message but doesn’t mute the radio so I can’t understand the text.
Same thing happens when I’m in Nav and the voice saying directions can’t be heard over the radio.

So the radio isn’t being muted for either of these situations. Can’t find any setting in the screen or the owner non-manual

have you gone into the settings and check them?

Try this: when the navigation or text speech is active, increase the volume. The trick is adjusting the volume while Sync is "speaking".
