So this week, I did the 3.0 update and now after I leave the truck sit for a period of time and I restart the truck the radio turns on in "FM" and not the last mode, either Sirus or USB. I never even listen to FM radio (because Pittsburgh radio stations suck, haha). Is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix for it? Also, I have the Nav radio.
Are you turning off the system before you turn off the truck? I was having the same issue until I started turning the sound system off before I turn off the truck.
I’ve found that if I turn the key to either ACC or ON for 4-5 seconds, the turn it to START, SYNC seems to always come back where I left it. The only reason I say “seems” is because I’ve only been doing this for a few days and want to give it a while before I reach a conclusion.
It did that when I updated my F150 but not all the time....so far so good with the F350 but we’ve only had it a couple of weeks.....3.0 was already installed. When I updated the 150 I was never able to confirm the update....not sure if they ever fixed that issue?

This is an issue for "some but not all" 2016-18 F150 & SD truck owners. I have a 2016 F150 and i`ve performed 3 SYNC 3 system updates since i`ve had my truck and i`ve never had this issue. Sirius, FM/AM, CD, iPhone or iPad, whatever was being used when I turned my vehicle off, that`s what comes on the next time I start my vehicle up and yes, i`m currently on 3.0 after starting with 1.0 back in 2016.
Perhaps the next update, which should be coming out in a few months, will eliminate/solve this problem but right now, there is no fix.
Same issue here, talked with Sync support and they stated this is normal operation and I should use voice commands to change source on startup. BS I have never owned a vehicle that did not keep the last source used. Frustrating to say the least as I am a loyal XM listener and to have to switch from FM back to XM after most power cycles is annoying. Strange thing is it does not happen every time but most no real rhythm to when or why it will keep the source sometimes and not all. Seems to go in sync with my speedo changing from MPH to KPH without input talk about throw a guy off look at it and its says you are doing 89 you quick let off the gas then realize you were in KPH and not MPH LOL LOL.
Sync support knows nothing about their systems, ever since I got the 3.0 update, I keep getting a message that it is downloading an additional file as soon as it hooks to my home wifi, it never downloads, I called sync support, they tried to tell me I have to buy a map update for that file to download, BS it is not map related, it is sync voice related.
