Radio Issue

Every time I get in my truck it goes to AM radio the next time. Even if i had it on XM or FM the time before. Any idea what would cause this? 2017 F250 Platnium.

Unfortunately this is a known Ford issue. A handful of trucks including mine are doing it. Make sure your dealer knows so more people can report it and Ford do something about this *&^T*$&*(%*$*& annoying issue!

Many but not all owners have this problem and it actually cleared up for some owners after the last SYNC 3 update a few weeks ago.
Which version of SYNC 3 are you on?

While we are at it... any way to deactivate bands on the radio? On The $50 pioneer in my ‘99 dutie I can disable AM1,2, FM1,2x XM... so that I don’t have to press the source button 8 times to cycle to my phone....

that Button on the steering wheel would be s lot more useful if I was only cycling between 2 or 3 choices

I get the radio thing too on my 18 SD but also had it on my 14 F-150. I thought it had to do when a mobile phone connects to Sync but who knows

If you hesitate for a second or 2 between ON and START it won’t reset back to AM. Kind of a pain, but not as much as listening to the static blare until the system totally boots...

Forscan has a way to remove presets like AM and FM from the M selections. Or you can delete Sat Radio. Mine stays on the last setting when I restart, Sat Radio station, or Fm station. Never left it on AM. Have you tried resetting? prep and hold power and forward button at same time until it boots. Then set to a Sat or FM preset. You might need several drive cycles to set last on start up.

I never had it until the update a couple of days ago. Now sometimes the radio starts up on FM, even though it was on satellite at the time the truck was turned off. But other times it starts up on whichever satellite station I was listening to when I shut the truck off. No rhyme or reason or way to replicate it.
