I have the Swing-lock Western Jr mirrors. Can anyone help me ID the tee-bolt that sits on the top and bottom of the mirror, pointing away from the mirror, that attaches it to the mirror brackets? Also, does anybody know if it is possible to buy replacement brackets? Mine seem to be home-made from the PO. (not the tee-bolts that connect the mirror frame to the top of the door)
If I am correct what you are talking of, is it the tab at the top/bottom of the mirror head that two screws are used to hold the clamp around the mirror.
I'm guessing you will have to find some junk mirrors and scavenge parts.

I have the Swing-lock Western Jr mirrors. Can anyone help me ID the tee-bolt that sits on the top only of the mirror, pointing away from the mirror, that attaches it to the mirror brackets? The brackets were not available by themselves, were only sold with the mirror installation kit.
D0HZ-17386-A .. T Bolt / 1/4" -20 x 27/64" long / Obsolete ~ No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
1967/79 F100/350 & Econoline with Western Junior: Swing-Lock and 3rd steady-rest arm Mirrors usually seen on Camper Specials.
NumberDummy, I don't doubt that I may have a mix of parts for my mirrors, they look like the 2-arm mirror in the picture above, but with the door-mounting brackets from the 3 arm version. The mirror brackets were home made by the PO.
Wander through the bins of your local small hardware store as you can probably find one there. Remember that a lot of that stuff is just common hardware.
I've cut the shoulder ears off a 1/4" x 5/8 carriage bolts an used them until found oe bolts at the junk yard.
I had about 6 extra one I sold to a guy on the sit for a few bucks. He was in need just like you an since I had removed ,
an sold those hang mirror's, I had busted my head on many times coming out from under my truck.
The Jr west coast mirrors were only good for towing or having a camper on for me. An great for blind spots.

The t bolt you are looking for Ford only serviced with the mirror head. Look close to the top and bottom of the mirror head in Bill's pic. Attached to that head you will see the parts you are looking for.
