Adding Remote Start
Good morning all,
I have searched and really don't have the time to search through 70K threads to find the answer. My father just purchased a 2017 SD Lariat with plenty of options but it does not have the remote start. Anyone add an aftermarket that they are happy with or does Ford offer something that would allow him to have a Ford fob? He really doesn't want to add another fob if he can help it. Thanks in advance.

Have a 12volt one on mine. Only complaint is that the 12 volts doesn’t turn on heat / ac or front defroster even if left on when truck turned off. My only complaint about it but engine is hot when get it so heat comes out as soon as key is turned

I think you need to rent their module for $85 to set up your control options in your settings screen.

This will work on other years I bought it for my 2017 F350 and it works. very simple install.

You can do all this with forscan. You can go in and turn on the option to be in your gauge cluster.
