I have been chasing a backup assist problem. I replaced all 4 sensors in bumper. Could not hear any of them clicking new or old. Checked fuses that i thought me be bad and they were ok. I have a 2015 F350, maybe i need to check another fuse? I followed the wire at back they were all connected. I also made sure it was turned on in the dash. The check mark will light for the on position but goes out right away. It says check backup system all the time. I think it would have a fault but i put a scan tool on and there are not faults. This is a new truck to me and i am trying to get some things fixed that were not working. The backup camera works fine, the wife would like the sensors when she drives. Any ideas? Thanks
Thank you i will start following the procedure and see if i can track it down. What number fuse needs to be checked? I checked 41 but im not sure that was the correct one? It's a 2015 F 350 Diesel
pulled 35, it was a 10? dont have any 5's in there? It was good. Think i found the PAM under dash, something had 2 plugs in it. Pulled and cleaned. Still no luck. Every time i go into reverse i get the check park aid. New sensors, fuse good, everything looks plugged in.

Hey rob, any updates on this, did you get it resolved, is so, what did it end up being?
Same problem here on 2009 E350 standard van. Driving down road. Random beeping and alarming. "Check Rear Park Aid" when in reverse.
Originally still had clicking on all 4 sensors. Thought one sensor was perhaps?? weaker than the other three. Changed out all 4 sensors w Amazon chinese cheapos. Still all 4 clicking - good (probably should have saved my money on new ones)! Still all the same alarms and random beeping - bad.
I suspect that problem is either a loose wire or a bad PAM. I need to find the PAM, but cannot find a diagram. Need to ask the forum here I suppose
One note (to Rob Templeton). If you look at the wiring harness at back bumper, you'll note that the cable running up to the front of the car from the 4 sensors has 6 conductors (or at least it does on my vehicle). Problem is that I haven't found the other end - either on the left side under the dashboard or the right side under the dashboard.
I've been trying to analyze this problem with my 2015 F350. It worked just fine for several years, then started working intermittently, then just crapped out completely. I noticed that on occasion, it would work in cold weather. Yesterday morning in freezing temps, when I put it in reverse, the screen showed that the assist was working, but the speaker emitted a constant alert - no beeping. Then later that day, the whole system worked just fine, like new. Again today in freezing temps, it worked just fine and there was no constant alert. Wondering why cold weather would cause it to function properly. And, what the cause might be...
Joining late, same issue in a 2008 F450. No issues with bumper sensors, dash switch illuminates properly and pressing the switch results in correct on/off indications, but no audio when backing up to the same garage door that has prompted tones for years. Where can I find the PAM on my 2008 F450?
