roadrunner engines are the best i think they are out of salt lake city utah they ship overnight and on there long blocks they offer a 70k mile 3yr waranty
Tekidesign, I'm having some trouble with this. The engine you describe is a simple rebuild, and aside from heads, they didn't break much. I'd suggest that you get "How to rebuild Small-Block Ford Engines" by Tom Monroe, and have at it. It really is a simple engine, and for what it would cost to get someone elses engine, you could rebuild the longblock, put some nice heads on it, and a decent cam. Maybe even put some attention towards your ignition and distributor, and come up with a really killer windsor. Or... you could go to the "dark side" and do a 392 stroker.
Ton's of potential, and a simple motor. We don't have the concerns of the modern computer controlled motors with these older trucks.
I'd look at some GT-40X or World Product heads. Those are some of the decent ones, and since we are talking trucks, we don't need the absolute highest flowing.
