T500

Just wondering, any buddy seal the round plate in the back? Mine seems to be leaking. Thought I had a fuel leak but that's the only place I see a drip from. Hate oil on the drive way. Mine is one of the first so got a lot of years and miles on it. Mitt have to talk to Clay to see if they will warranty it I guess. It is a daily driver so that would suck for none use.

There can be multiple places for a leak, Chet. 1st go around, it was the pkug at the 12oclock position, then just recently, the fitting for the hpop line. May want to clean ur up REAL good then while idling, go at it with a telescoping mirror

Some one on here might have a loner that you can use, worth a shot.

If the T500 does not get warrantied, I would get away from that thing as fast as you can. It seems that the T500 has gone the way of your JW trans and that CNC or Diesel Site have the better option for HPOP's when it comes to the 7.3.

If/when I need a new HPOP, Corey at CNC will get my money, without a doubt.

I've looked pretty good. It seems the inside of where that round area of the T500 back is holding oil. I couldn't see or feel oil on any of the other fitting. It's been a good pump up to now. Really made my E99 come alive with the DP tuner I've had on here for years. Mileage went up at that time to. But don't want any problems with it blowing out. I am towing pretty heavy now and my next trip is week of Thanks Giving. I want to go for a couple months this summer also if all works out. But your advise is good, and I do plan to wash everything out soon.

I've thought about that to. I know Joey has had some problems. He has had a kick in the mouth at home to as I hear it, not what any buddy wants. Here's a really good guy, I meant him a couple time at's Andy's RRE west I call it. Use to get together with all the guys there. Clay and family also. I really hope he has it worked out, but if not I will change.

Guess I'm just getting lazy but why not just replace it with a Bosch remanufactured and a 1 year warranty? $544 at DieselORings, no tax, no shipping charges, $150 core charge, free shipping the core back and they refunded my core charge 1 day after they received it. I've taken mine out twice and I hate it. Hard on my back leaning over the engine and I have to find someone to hold the crank when torquing the drive gear back on. Last time I built a platform to stand on rather than milk crates. I haven't heard good things about the T500 for a while now

I’ve been a lurkin a bit. I wish I was still up there, but had to get back to reality. Temp was perfect for riding all geared up by day and some beverages by the fire at night.
