The platform is be coming a littke more ti e consuming than originally planned. The guy I had to cut the lumber did not do a great job. Another reason I glad I bought my own mill. If he had not raised his price 30% I was going have him cut all my lumber. Glad now he raised his price. If he had cut my hardwood the way he cut this pine, rules if the forum would not allow me to express myself

Hey Rod !!
Hugh it sounds like the lumber cutter is kin to the guy that built my house, nothing is straight. Scooped about 400 lbs of leaves out of the pool yesterday, windy outside right now so it's probably got a ton of leaves back in it. Put a smart plug on the christmas tree lights, Alexa turn the christmas tree lights on! Way too easy! The regional service manager guy is supposed to be in the shop this week to give me the last OK to be the service manager for Rome. Figured out the heater core on the dodge is plugged. I have a new heater core so I am going to try and put it in this coming up weekend.

With rough cut lumber you know you got some prep to do to use it but all 4 sides
Thought you put the pool cover as soon as you did the last clean up.
Does the corporate service director have to approve you also? They act like you are a defense contractor see some micro mangement. Are you going to have to jump thru this many hoops the get warranty work approved?

I have a pool cover but it is not tight on the pool so the leaves pile on top and then fall in the pool when I try to take the cover off. I found it easier to just scoop them out every weekend than to try and do it in one huge pile.
I technically don't need this guys approval because the guy last week was higher on food chain but it's all in the process I guess.
Warranty work approval seems to be a lot easier.!!

From what my boss is saying it is professional courtesy. Just ready to get all the boxes checked and move on, my boss feels the same way. He is setting up interviews for techs and I think he wants me involved and to start working with the service manager to learn my new job. I helped work on lawn mowers and install bagger systems yesterday since we were super slow on the tractor side.

The slip joint came in for the lightning today, along with the upper control arms and the lower ball joints. I only got one of the two rear shocks and the other is in transit.
I talked with the service guy today. It was like he was trying to talk me out of it and I'm throwing all my qualifications at him. He said I will have an answer by Thursday, My boss said no worries.

The side by side is ready, but the winch mount was in one of the 2 FedEx trucks that hit each other. Will not be in till Thursday.
You think the guy you meet today is 1 just an a*** 2. Had a buddy that wanted it 3. Thinks you are overqualifed and wants his job. 4 is afraid the old Army guy will be too hard on the snowflakes? Me personally wouls rather deal with older service managers and techs

My boss wants me and he told me not to worry about it. I make more money and I'm saving money in gas by working for them, so no matter what happens I'm ahead either way.
I got the Lightning driveshaft in the Hummer and I am going to press in the u-joints at work, then install it tonight after work. Saturday is looking like a rain out on trying to work on anything outside.

The wife had other plans so I did not get to put the driveshaft in, going to try and put it in tonight after work. Cave Spring is having a small town Christmas event this weekend downtown and Ag-pro is setting up a booth. Don't know how that's going to play out with rain coming. The spa people got back with me and they can repair my hot tub controller for less than half the price of a new one. Deal !! The guy is supposed to start working on the 750 4 wheeler this weekend. The boss and I had a good talk yesterday and he apologized for corporate messing around, said it should have been a done deal 2 weeks ago. They gave him the authority to hire who he wants then they want then meddle in the process. He does not like the area service manager I talked with on Tuesday at all. He had me look at a couple of resumes to see who we need to bring in for an interview. He also wants me to sit in on the interview.

Corporate micro mangement. I am sure you dealt with it in the Army. The area service manager does not understand delegation of duties and decession making. Alot of people delagate the duties but not the power to make decessions. He us going to give yall problems. If your boss does not know it pre warn him.
