Running boards falling off

Running boards falling off
Ok. I'm sure I'm not the only one at this point with rust issues causing the running boards to pretty much fall off.
what have you guys been doing to fix the issue? I have a leveling kit, and the truck sits about 5" higher than stock, and not have bad knees and getting a foot surgery, so I need the running boards at this point. Is there a reasonably easy/inexpensive fix? Are there boards or steps that mount somewhere else?

@ZachinCO , I might still have my OEM boards if you think that I can remove the brackets and would like me to mail them to you, hit me up via PM and maybe we can work something out.
I gotta find my brackets still. I've got them somewhere, just have to make the time, but I am gonna give it a try.
Been busy with my little water trenching project.

If they are the factory tube running boards the brackets are aluminum. I broke at least two of mine but I also am a welder and ran a nice bead on them and never another issue ( since have replaced with power boards for ground clearance). I would never trust that part to JB Weld because I feel it will fail and it will probably be you with a bunch of stuff in your arms or an elderly friend and somebody will get hurt. I would find a welder to fix them and if you can't then mail them to me, I will do you a solid.
I also have my stock boards w/brackets that are available if someone is interested.
To the OP, again a welder will be your friend. If that was my issue I would weld a plate in there to strengthen the original mounting area and re-attach the mount.

My stock non-tube type were sagging bad on the passenger side when I bought the truck. Luckily for me it was mostly the thin metal under the board and not the truck metal. I bought after market steps used from craigslist, now of the tubular type, and they attached to basically the same points, with one extra support that ran over to the frame itself. So my point is that it seems most steps mount to the same points.
Cheapest fix is going to be cut out the rust and weld in some patch metal to secure the steps to as someone above has already suggested.
