what would you pay

ive got 2015 f250 4x4 offered me for sale / it was commercial vehicle and has lot engine idle hours (2614 idle/4684engine), 79k odo, its crew cab, xlt, fx4. fair condition overall. compression test shows 123-127 psi all 8 cylinders. would you trust longevity and buy despite hours? if so, whats fair price?

ive read lots threads about lingevity (flat bed ed), few about commercial use (farm, oil fields), some about hours (contractors).

just like get some advice from forum folks

thanks

In the Pacific northwest, that truck would likely list for around $28-30k.

To put it in perspective, I just purchased the 2016 truck in my signature about a month ago with 33k miles, 1100 running hours and 180 idle hours for $35K. This was also the only non-white, XLT I could find in a 500 mile radius in the configuration I wanted. I was happy with the price.

Yes, with that mileage it would sell around 25k here in the south east. Mine is a 14 with 134k on it and I paid 18 for it. Blue book is right over 20. I wouldn't be too terribly worried about the idle hours as long as it was properly cared for. Mine was also in fleet, and has above average idle hours.

agreed with all above statements.
i paid $21,000 for my 2014 XLT 4X4 supercab with 93k miles on it, and it had more run and idle hours than you are looking at.
my truck came with 13 pages of maintenance records from the dealer in Texas that Pioneer Energy leased it from.

I paid $28 for my 2015 F250 XLT CCSB oxford white 6.2l with 37000 in February 2018. That was a private sale.

I'm curious as to how a 9.8:1 compression motor only has 123-127 lbs per cylinder on test?
Ice cold with intake blocked or something? My old shovel head sitting in the garage with 8.75: 1 compression pistons puts out 138 lbs on a test.
Just seems odd is all. My guess is warm and with an open intake/throttle body they are closer to 170-180.
