A friend of mine has damaged his mirror on his '19 f350 lariat. This mirror has all the bells and whistles. Lane assist, camera etc. He got a new mirror and plugged it in. Now he has a short to battery/open code and 2 other codes. I tried to clear to codes, but they came back. We plug the old mirror back in and codes go away.
Any of you guys replace a mirror with cameras/lane assist and have to do programming. It's either that or the new mirror (supplied by stealership) wiring is no good.

Thanks in advance.

Well, if the codes go away when the damaged mirror is reinstalled, you "might" have just solved the mystery.
The "new" mirror is defective or some kind of BCM programming is required via the Ford dealer.
However, I would install the damaged mirror and make sure the codes that you saw will not come up after awhile but then again, maybe something was damaged in the mirror that would not cause the codes to show up.
Let us know if you`re able to get the mirror working properly on your truck.
Back around to post the results. So it turns out that the wiring on the new mirror was no good. The dealer i bought the new mirror from held warrantying the bad new mirror until the could check the truck for themselves. Being in the electrical industry for a number of years it is not that uncommon one to get duds from the factory. New mirror. Problem solved. There is no programming required. All the devices in the mirrors are pin to pin connected to the door control module.
