Where can I but the proper battery cables that I don't have to sell my first born for? '94 Ranger 4.0 with 3 cables on the ground side and 2 on the positive side. How long are they so maybe I can make my own. Thanks.

 

Ford Parts shows the original cable to the starter available for under $100. It includes the hot wire to the starter as well as the two terminal connection to the solenoid.

 

Boneyard, but they might think they are worth more than new from different sources. You could pick through the available and find a few that were proper length and were in good condition. They do not wear out, they can corrode or have their insulation damaged, but the electrons don't seem to care.

For what it's worth, I replaced the cable from the battery to the starter with a 4'-long, 4-ga. cable from Advance Auto. It was about $10. I don't know about the other cables, but new copper is new copper....
